thats prolly a good call. I haven't traced the lines, but there are only 2, so if I assume one is +12v and the other a gnd, then that doesn't leave anything else for moving data. I could be wrong though.
+1 on the tape. it does look OEMish. Maybe the original cellphone pre-wire?
