Yes. I never even considered using the tach signal as a method to measure timing but it is certainly with the right hardware. I have an
arduino board which should certain be fast enough to measure timing with. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will have more time to tinker with this. As you can see in the link I want to use the GP's as a thermocouple. Using the tach sensor as a pick up to determine crank position is simply fantastic when combined with actual ignition in the cylinder.
