I bypassed the overboost switchover valve in my 300CD and noticed a remarkable improvement in performance.

Surprisingly, tranny problems I had with hard shifting and peculiar shifting suddenly disappeared. I had thought the tranny problems were vacuum related, but apparently they were related to the overboost switch.

Can someone explain the relationship?
