I will be picking up a silver 1989 300e tomorrow eveing and there are a couple of problems I would liek to try and iron out when I bring it home. One, the door locks do not function properly. When you unlock the drivers door, none of the other locks open or close for that matter. All must be opened and closed manually. I know the vacuum pump is under the rear seat but I am wondering if that is where I should start or if I should start with fuses or somewhere else.

Also, the exhaust sounds like a "rice rocket" and I am not sure why. I think it has the stock MB exhaust but am not sure. If it is the stock exhaust, any guess to why it would sound like this? It passed smog a couple months ago so I dont think it has any affect on that but am not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
