That 40%-figure sounds like usual racist propaganda, heard it (or similar) before from white power and ultra-nationalist types.
I don't believe it because first: not all Arab immigrants are Muslims and second, more importantly: the vast majority of them behave quite well. They get language skills, education, jobs and integrate/adapt to our society and this process tends to "de-islamize" them eventually to the point where they no longer attend to any Muslim activities, not even Ramadan or the Eid-festivities. After one (well-behaved!) generation these people become almost ordinary Swedes; work, pay taxes and talks without horrible accents. I've seen some even taking up western customs like celebrating christmas (tree, presents, dinner but not the jesus part).
Then there's the not-so well behaving bunch.. General refusal of learning the language, getting any education or work, settling in the poor high-rise suburbs and living on state welfare. No wonder their kids grow up to be small-time gangsters vandalizing, mugging and rioting.. kids never had any future anyway, if they choose to believe their no.1 role models in life = their parents!
Funny this latter "sludge of the society" types are the ones generally holding their religion very high and undisputable.
It's as plain as the day for me, the common denominator for these losers are their religion. May they be Muslims from arab countries, ex-yugoslavian or albanian, they are vastly over-represented in crime statistics.
To summarize, I don't agree with that report mentioned. Muslims will not take over western europe and yes there is a problem being muslim.
