We had a bulb go out on our 98 E300, and I used the coat-hanger method. I agree with 120degree statement! Wish I hadn't been frustrated learning that one on my own.
While I had the durned thing out, I replaced ALL the bulbs so I don't have to go back for a while.
BTW, my dealer wanted $300 labour for the same job. Took me a couple hours, including learning time. Would be an hour, tops, now.
