How much time did it take to turn this around. I'm fast coming to the conclusion that this may be the only solution. It appears that this rear is different than the units that were put on the 124's and early 129's. My research shown that the early 129 and 124 rears used 126 internals. Therefor the 126/107 LSD carrier swap is possible.

With the introduction of the 140 case the internals all became 140 P/N's with the exception of the spider gears. The 140 case is physically 1.25" wider and about an inch longer than the 126/107 case. Therefore it appears that the 140 carrier is most likely to have a wider space between bearings. I believe this lager case was introduced for the V-12.
