[QUOTE=daw_two;2180861]Okay, folks. I need some help. I'm about ready to start cleaning and here's the situation. I have what appears to be oil pooled in the 2nd (from the front) head bolt. It's generally made a mess from about cylinder #1 to almost #3. See pics.
It does not smell like diesel. It looks like oil. Coda is blowing or burning about 3/4 of a quart of oil every 3500 miles. Any thoughts?
Also, what's the easiest, best way of cleaning this? I'm guessing I need to stuff rags into the manifold holes. I went to the hardward store and bought some little plastic caps to put on the delivery valves and injectors. Cover those babies up. See pics.
Oh, no. I'm was out taking some more pics and looked what I found underneath the car --- last 2 pics. Now where is that coolent coming from? And .... transmission cooler lines; is that transmission fluid on the hose with the spring wrapped around it???
Yes that is coolant. Where under the motor are you looking? Yes that is transmission fluid on the tranny cooler hoses. They are very inexpensive to replace.
