Hmm, I've consistently gotten over 30 MPG with my sdc. You should change your diff ratio to 2.47 or if you want to go crazy 2.24. make sure your brakes arent dragging, and all your bearings are good.

Use a lighter wheel like a CLK lighter wheel = lower unsprung weight.
