Question Replacing Sub-Frame Mounts

Someone on e-bay is selling a set of sub-frame mounts for a 560 SL, stating that changing them will restore the ride and quietness of the car when it was new(er). My car has about 105,000 miles on it, and seems to transmit an audible "thump" when going over bumps. Has anyone had experience with ride improvement after changing these mounts?? I'm wondering if it's worth doing.

1986 560SEC: 150,000 miles, runs great, but I've got to sell it (too many cars for one man)
1987 560SL: 122,000 miles, used to run poorly, now (thanks to forum), runs great!
1997 GMC Jimmy: Turned out to be a turkey.
1989 T-Bird Super Coupe: 150,000 miles, still runs great. Ford got it right.
