These are gun deaths which I assume include suicides which are probably a good portion of them. So you can't assume they're all murders or even killings of other people. I think Nevada has one of the highest suicide rates in the country if not the highest, and I've seen stats that clearly show that households with guns have a much higher death rate, either due to suicide or domestic violence.
