That is a bad, bad idea. Don't do it!
When I bought my 300D, some moron put a bolt through the fan clutch to accomplish this exact same thing. The factory fan had so many stress cracks in it, that it could have exploded at any time. It was even broken in some places.
Luckily I caught it before it came apart. If these fans come apart, the can take out many vital and expensive components.
Do it right. Put a clutch on it.
