I need a relatively cheap and simple one for filming family events.

Our current camera is about 9 years old, and is lost somewhere in my house. I know I'll find it eventually, but we have my son's guitar recital coming up soon, and I was going to get a new one anyhow.

I want to emphasize "simple" - I don't have the patience to read and learn a 200 page manual for something I'll pull out maybe 3x/year.

P.S. His "recital" piece will be all of about 3 minutes. If I thought he'd be the next Clapton, I guess I'd spring for an expensive and simple camera.
