It depends on the interstate.
The first 70 miles or so of I-64 heading west from Lexington, Virginia, is a beautiful drive. That's as far west as I've been on that road, but I hear the West Virginia stretch of I-64 is nice.
On the other hand, you can have the Connecticut part of I-95. That is one nasty interstate.
The nicest drive I've had in Connecticut was in the northwest part of the state when the leaves were changing. That's some beautiful New England scenery.
