Me - drafted out of graduate school in 1968. Sent to Vietnam 69-70, 4th Infantry Division. Returned and finished graduate school on GI bill.
Dad (still active with a wrench at age 88) - served under Patton in WWII spearheading the drive with the "Mystery Division" (unidentified until after the war due to the secret transfer of the 12th Armored Division from General Patch to General Patton). Finally got his valor medal 60 years late.
