no problem with the toxicity...
The combustion by-products may be bad, but the oil itself is carcinogenic. The early cancer studies (in the 20s?) were done with oil (or coal tar) on test animal skin. So I am not too worried about that- anyone weekend mechanic with a diesel ends up getting some dermal exposure.
