I dont want to remove my rear seat out of fear it wont go back in like it is. But the mounts are two holes in the seat bottom that slip over a blunt nose cone type of connection with a slit in the side for a spring lever to go into.

Those nose cone things are fine... I really have no idea what the hell is up.. I've never had an issue putting a seat back in all the way and clicking into home position in a w126.. except for this damn car.
