I am hesitant to sink the money in the car since I almost don't use it now
(no more commute, bought a scion Xb since baby was born, just lost my job).
Going back 3 years ago I wouldn't think twice and replace everything.

In any case, I still love the car and getting the new coil as well. As far as I know it was never replaced before.
I did however replaced the wires and distributor cap 10 years ago.
3 years ago replaced voltage regulator.

I see OVP relay popping up a lot in other discussions related to similar symptoms. Will this be the next step? Also Arthur mentioned a sticking
EGR valve. I think mine is working but pipe is clogged somewhere close to the engine. (tried cleaning it with a guitar string wire but no result)
