Trials in extreme environments: The GLK design is put to the test far from sealed roads - at times at opposite extremes. The compact SUV made its successful debut at the Auto China 2008. However, before achieving series maturity, the characteristic vehicle had to face numerous test kilometers under difficult conditions. In the burning heat beneath Africa’s sun or sub-zero temperatures in the Polar circle. The tests everywhere eliminated potential weaknesses.
