You can also have any MB dealer run a vehicle master inquiry (VMI) to determine if there are any open campaigns, and check the NHTSA website which lists recalls by year and model. It doesn't list VINs or VIN ranges though - http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls/recallsearch.cfm
