I had a rebuilt 240D engine in my garage for 3-4 years. The engine ran great, but the car it was in had turned into rust.

I pulled the engine along with the automatic transmission and put it in my garage. I tripped over it for a couple of years until I just gave it away to get rid of it.

If the bone yard will give you $100, strip the car and take the money....your ankles will thank you...hee...hee...
