I am taking 17 units the semester (senior year, woohoo), and so far the bill for textbooks is up to about $610. Sucks, as this year 2 of the classes are using new editions, so there are no used textbooks availible.

When I was in a 2 yr program we had a lot of instructors who had written their own textbooks that we were required to buy. As seniors we convinced a few instructors that had new editions coming out to not let on they were changing their textbooks for the next semester. We sold ours to the incoming guys and had a big keg party.
