Someone should ask the parole officer: why, after finding a convicted kidnapper and rapist, who is being monitored as a sex offender... after finding him traveling with children he is not even supposed to have... did you "invite" him to come down for an interview? Dumb luck he was stupid enough to bring the girls, and not flee or murder them. Lazy parole officer until the last minute. Not a hero.

Interesting that male authorities missed clues that something was seriously wrong for 18 years. It took a couple of women officers to sound the alarm. I have nothing against men, and I think they do certain jobs very well, but bringing more females into law enforcement would balance the system. Police and parole officers who are in touch with their intuition enough to act when they get the sense that something is wrong would be a great asset. What if the Sheriff who went to the house in 2002 had been a woman?

I think the problem here might be that in the future...that "female intuition" will be called "profiling" where in reality, it never existed.

Sorta' like when white police officers would have a hunch that a sagging rear-end on a north-bound ghetto-cruizer with a black driver and black passenger(s) MIGHT be full of dope...

Some smart-@ss lawyer manages to get a judge and jury all riled up and the officers end up having to take sensitivity training and racial profiling courses taught by people that have no knowledge of the real world, the perps get off (but lose the "load") because of the bad "bust" and the judge gets a campaign contribution from the local ACLU and assorted other "tooty-fruity" do-gooder entities.

Yep, those lady detectives better enjoy their 15 minutes of fame...someone will be along any moment now to p!ss on their parade and let them know that somehow, they didn't do it "by the book."

And more will die because we believe EVERYONE deserves another break...

Remember, there's no real sentence in any conviction...just the victim living with the crime. Get over it.
