Ahh, that's better.

I've got mixed feelings about this. It's similar to leaving a $100 bill on the sidewalk, not exactly the same of course.

But normally people lock their car and take their keys for good reason.

Leaving a small lock on a tool box is sort of a way of keeping honest people honest. Not that someone who drives away a $40 K vehicle that doesn't belong to them is honest, but this is not the same as catching someone who is skilled at breaking into and stealing cars that don't have the key left in them. Such people are the real criminals to be concerned about, not a pair of fools like this.

But who knows, it might make them a bit wiser but I'm not sure it will put a huge dent in crime.
