Have a friend with a '91 300D and no reverse gear. Found a gear tooth and part of a broken spring? in the trans oil pan. Not sure where the parts came from inside, but not going to tear it down to find out.

So, if someone has a good 124 trans they're selling, LMK. He needs it up and running soon and the local shops will just charge a few K to do a butcher job on it.
