You can do some passively if you have cool nights and warm daysm but in the tropics if you want to not sweat large amounts of electricity are needed!

In the summer I wear minimal clothing inside and keep it fairly warm. In the winter I bundle up and keep it fairly cool.

INbetween I sometimes open the house and let in the outside air but because of resperiatory allergies I often just keep the house closed and run the air. If its cool outside it won't cost much to run the air.
