My 82 300SD is all fine except for a little spot of rust on the rear fender...which led to a rot patch in the trunk from the water getting in. Usually with these cars there is a little rust on the outside and then tons of rot on the inside. My rust has gotten to the point where it is problematic though it still looks ok from the outside. If the jack points are rusting, not a good sign. I paid $1000 for mine at 180k.
