Anybody have any pictures of these tiny signatures? Not that I don't believe you guys....
On a related but completely different note, our 79 300D says "Mr Wells" in printed letters on the outer edge of the driver's door. We've been trying to figure out for the last two years why it says "Mr Wells". We have very limited records (and most of the records we do have are in Greek, actually) so don't know if Mr Wells was the name of a previous owner, or perhaps the name of the car.
My theory is that Mr Wells was the previous owner, and he belonged to a pretentious country club with valet parking. In order to make the valet service seem particularly sharp, the valet would stick the name of the owner on the driver's side door, so that as they helped the owner out of the car they could greet them by name without having to memorize all of the members. My wife thinks that theory is ridiculous.
