I had similar problems.. If you open the door, you will find 3 plastic caps near the door latch. One of those has an allen key that you unscrew, the other for the plug. the third is for door adjustment.

Once you remove the allen bolt, you are supposed to turn the key and then pull the thing out.... (if the key turned, you probably wouldnt have this problem..) otherwise, you have to jiggle, somehow turn the whole thing enough to get it out..

Its not that hard... Just takes time and patience.
