Got everything in place and began driving her yesterday. Everything went well except she smoked for awhile burning all the excess oil out of the exhaust system. Since I just bought the car I began to check everything out to make sure all was well. Only 2 problems so far. Odometer quit working. Strange since it was working when I first drove it. Needs freon in air conditioning system. I have already purchased Freeze 12 on ebay and am prepared to fix that problem. Everything else is as it should be. Really nice driving car. This is my first mercedes diesel and I am looking forward to enjoying some quality time in it.
Since the speedometer works but the odometer quit I am thinking the problem is inside the housing. I do not know of anything I could have done to cause the problem under the hood but will check today. Any input appreciated.
