I've come down with a nasty bug so nothing'll get done until maybe tomorrow or Sunday the. Maybe I can take it to a hydraulics place and have them fit the right size nuts on the hose.

I have 2 Oil Coolers on my Work Bench. 1 is a 79 300SD and the other is an 84 300D Oil Cooler. On both of them the the Nipples are threaded for 22mmx1.5 threads.
The larger end of the repair Nipples for the above models is supposed to have 22mmx1.5 threads.
Your 87 300SDL Oil Cooler Nipples and Hose Nuts may be a different size than the above Oil Coolers.
