Check the Pick n Pull yards. Just because this is the end of the line for all these fine pieces of engenering, there are good parts on them.

I pulled an axle off an old beat up ratty rusty 240D last June in Portland Oregon at a PNP, the PO had just replaced the R/R axle, wasn`t even dirty. $25 out the door.

There are a ton of W126 in the PNP from the clunker program, most are the 2nd gen 126, so not sure if the axles are the same as the first generation like the 300SD.

saw 560SEL with 129xxx miles .

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
