Not only is it scary, it is dangerous as hell, if you are standing right in front with your body touching the car and it moves forward at 3-4 mph, you can very well be run over by your own car, or crushed between the car and another object [car,wall,pole,etc]
You will likely only be run over by a car once in your life, keep parking brakes engaged and automatic transmissions in Park when working on a vehicle with it's engine running. Bad things do happen, don't temp Murphy.......
