Now its down to where I am about going to have to sell the car. My Lexus is needing some fairly heavy maintainence and I cant afford all of this. I still owe money on the Lexus and cant get out of it what I owe on it at this point, so I guess its the Mercedes that will have to go.

I dont think $2500 is out of line for a nice Mercedes. Is it? I have heard the saying there is nothing more costly than a cheap Mercedes, but this car is not a piece of crap. Its a nice 20 year old car, but its true, its not perfect. If I had the time/money if I were to keep it, I would change the tires, fix the brakes, change the coolant to MB coolant or Zerex, repair the cruise control, power antenna and that would be it. As mentioned it also has that slight fluctuation on steady light acceleration. From what I am told... this is a simple repair for a DIY'er.

I mentioned it had a slightly and occasionally sticking rear brake. I ordered a new hose, but they sold me the wrong one (too short). I have to take the old hose and see if they can match it. I dont think it would hurt to drive the car like this for a short distance... most of my trips about about 40 miles per trip and in town. On the highway, it may heat up more, so it would need to be address and repaired before driven a long way on the highway or trailered. I am also planning on changing out the brake fluid... the weather has been terrible here today with rains and wind! Maybe tomorrow.

Prefer to sell since I am needing the cash, but as mentioned, I will consider trading it for a nice 1990-94 Lincoln Town Car or 1991-93 Caprice Classic.
