I was making an overhaul replacing piston rings and cylinder head job on my 77 240D (616.912 engine) and I had the timing chain hanging out in tension temporarily tied with a wire ,but wrongly turned the crankshaft ccw jumping out few links at cranshaft chain sprocket and loosing the fuel pump time.
Can somebody give me an idea how can I identify the links that jumped back in order to fixed it up
. (At this time I have mounted back Pistons, head, camshaft, adjusted valves ,camshaft sprocket, chain tension , etc ....) (timing marks at camshaft sprocket match with the TDC mark and pointer). I'm using basic tools . Thanks ,
