Removing P/S hose...

I've got a leak in the Power Steering hose - the high pressure side; I've already replaced the return hoses - they were leaking too, now it's time to take the high pressure hose to the hose shop for a re-do.

My question is: is it ok to just remove the hose fittings from both sides and let the P/S fluid drain all out of the reservoir/pump and the steering box?! I'll be full of air after re-assembly but I'm hoping that it will all get purged eventually through the top of the fluid reservoir when I re-fill it with fresh fluid...

Anything to look for or avoid when removing that pressure hose?
