If you take the ALDA off, you'll be delivering more fuel. I would assume that you should figure out your exhaust gas temperatures before and after you modify fuel delivery.

It serves a purpose, but, if it doesn't work properly (or is maladjusted), it can cause performance loss. IMO, I'd rather burn just the right amount of fuel, rather than dump excess into the engine.
