Removal is as Scott said, just pull down and there will be a few electrical connectors to unplug. However in my experience, a loose/vibrating mirror usually has some broken parts inside the mirror head and will be in need of either some pretty unique repair techniques, ie "hotglue gun", or replacement.
ps the mirror head and base is what unsnaps from the header panel, not just the mirror head.
