Aldedmon,

I recentlyl changed the gasket between the air intake and the engine. It is a very simple task, just follow these directions.

1. Remove the intake runners (Black tubes). To do this pull the tube away from the plastic filter body and then pull them away from the lighting assembly area. Note that you do not need to remove the plastic intake peice behind the lights.

2. Remove the plastic engine cover closest to the front of the car. This will pull straight up and out.

3. Now your ready to remove the air intake manifold. Begin by pulling the front of the intake closest to you up. Once you've pulled the front up start pulling towards you and up at the same time. The rear is held down by tabs which are fit snugly under retaining bolts. You should be able to pull it right out.

4. Underneath your filter box you'll find that gasket which costs $11.00 at Fastlane. Even if it doesn't look to bad it's worth it to change it and have piece of mind.

Now that you have the airbox off it might be a good time to check the air filters and determine if they need to be replaced.

Hope this helps.
