Test the Blower Motor

Greetings,

A lot of times as the motor ages it squeals to a stop until it cools down a little, and then it starts again. Try removing the motor and hooking it up to battery voltage directly and see if it spins without fail. Hand turning it to let's you feel whether the bearings have lost their lubrication. The blower wheel should free wheel a little after hand spinning it, not come to a rather sudden stop. Also if you are experiencing this starting and stopping of the fan while the acc is in the auto position, it is suppose to do that when cooling or heating temps inside the vehicle reach your preset temp of the temp wheel. Hope this helps you out.

Charles
