I'm in need of a Used brake booster for my 1982 300 sd.

What is a good price for such a thing. I was quoted 175.00 at one place, no guarantees tho. Found one new for 875.00.

Is it possible to rebuild one? My brother swears a machine shop could separate the two halves for a rebuild.
