I have an '85 300TD, But Its a euro car, so has even less resemblence to yours or my earlier 300's I'm currently trying to figure out the vac system to the trans--It appears the vac-microswitch normally found on cam-box is Inside the car somewhere near accelerator pedal...

So many differences with the '85 age and so many differences to territory too...

In your pics, is that white item with no pipe on the back of the IP the Vac. Stop device...?
