SLS pump rebuild????

So, I decided to finally fix my leaking SLS system on my 84 300td today. I started by repairing the high pressure line by reusing the old fittings on some new 3/8 hydraulic hose (gates) which was fairly easy and strait forward (Thanks to the great write up in the peachparts DIY section).
I Also ordered a Suspension Pump rebuild kit from autohauz which came with all the new o-rings and a new gasket. I thought it was straight forward, but I think I may have done something wrong because now when I start her up I can't not manually raise the back by lifting the SLS valve lever, which I could easily do yesterday. I tried to drive her around for a few miles to bleed the air out but I didn't want to go to far and make tings worse. I hope I have not screwed anything up and I was hoping someone might have a few type to pin point the problem.

Thanks in advance,
