If I can answer for him; there is an interior temp sensor up by the front dome light. What he is calling the sampling motor is a tiny suction fan that draws interior air through this interior temp sensor, to make sure you are getting a good sample of the interior air temp at the sensor. Technically it's called the aspirator, but it's all semantics. I don't think there is a chance in heck that that's your problem though, not "poor heat".
If you know where the duovalves are for the heater, try disconnecting them, you should get full heat then. NOT that this would mean the duovalves are your problem, it would just mean that the car "can" put out good heat.
One thing I wonder is if your coolant got completely filled after the flush, as low coolant level will definitely cause a no-heat situation.
