Thanks, TooManyMBZ, for the advice. I'm glad to hear that it's normal for the battery light to come on as the car turns off.

I'm pretty sure the new alternator has a new voltage regulator. Instead of being a rectangular box it's a little disk about the size of a couple of quarters stacked up, it says Bosch on the top. The new alternator didn't come with a new resistor, so I put the old one on the new one. I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do but that's what I did.

I'm going to look through the wiring from the Alternator to the Battery to see if anything looks out of place.
