Not really, when you consider that everything runs off one serpentine belt. It not only happened once, but twice. It was tested, as I suspected the compressor on that belt. And yes, the compressor was under a lot more pressure to work with the 134A, than Freeze 12 or R-12. So . . . no, am not smoking anything funny. The second one was about to snap when I brought it in for the valve job/clutch replacement. They had to weld it up to withstand the pull on it from the compressor . . . they tested it, and sure enough . . . but as with many shops, they were never a fan of the conversions.
