Just to butt in where I'm not a party to the object being gotten rid of... packing and shipping a seat is a pain the ass. Go measure a seat yourself and then go to UPS.com and calculate the cost to ship based on the size of the package. It's going to be oversized and it's going to cost a lot to ship - you can figure it out for yourself since you know how big a seat is and you know where the seat is located and where you are located. I'm pretty sure based on the size it's going to charge you for 90 pounds minimum weight.

But more to the point, if someone is offering up something for free, the time for them to pack the object and ship it is not insigificant and probably is not being offered for free.
