If you are a bit on the modifying side, you could do what I did.

I took the factory speakers out of the plastic baskets.

I cut away four areas for the infinity speaker screw mounting points.

I ground out the inside of the basket enough for the magnet to comes through.

I then tried a test fit, and found the speaker connector on the speaker, would not go through the metal deck hole. Hmm a Little modification is necessary here.

On the side of the speaker basket, I noticed a loop for speaker wire. I got an idea. I got some heat shrink tubing. I cut off the plastic connector, and soldered the speaker wires directly to the leads coming off the speaker, and heat shrink wraped them. I then locked the speaker wire intot he loop on the basket and made sure it would not move and made sure the wires on the speaker had room to move as before. I used foam weatherstripping that is stick on one side, and lined the ground out basket with it. I then mounted the speaker, and put the same foam weather stripping, I think it was 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch wide, and went around the speaker cone with it.

Voila!!! The plastic basket went back in perfectly, and I was all set.

I put the speaker grills on, connected the speakers and It was done. no cutting of the deck or anything.

This was on a 300CE, with the 6 speaker system, or 10 if you want to count the 4 rear tweeters from the factory.

I mounted the infinity tweeters on the rear deck behind the headrests, pointing up to the glass, this makes them reflect, and doesn't make it too intruding for rear seat passengers at all. The headrests pop down, so the tweeters are mounted behind them so they are completely free of the headrests.

NOTE:
If you are willing to void the speaker warranty by cutting off the connector
, you can use my method. otherwise, you may have to cut a bit of metal for the speaker connector.

Good luck,

Alon
