Definitely do not rev the motor in neutral and shift it into drive, that will very quickly destroy your trans. Put your foot lightly on the brake when the car is in drive and gradually increase the revs, simultaneously applying more just enough brake pressure to ensure the car isn't moving and then mash the throttle to the floor at about 1500 rpm and you should be able to break traction. I note you have a diesel though, this works easily in my 560, not sure about your power output though.
