I had a similar problem with my '82 300CDT.......the fuse was blowing after several minutes with the heater blower fan on. I wish my problem was with A/C use but unfortunately my compressors is seized.

Anyway, I purchased an auxiliary fuse (I think its 25 or 30 amps) from performance products, had it installed and that did the trick.
